This is a great way to get used to painting on heavyweight canvas before you move on to larger floorcloths: Placemats! They make wonderful gifts as well. Placemat blanks (without hems-just a cut edge) may be ordered in sets of four in #4 weight (Heavy) or #8 weight. They are all pre-primed on one side and are polyurethaned on the back to prevent staining through. Paint them any way you like and seal with 2 coats of poly for a wipeable finish.
These also make a great Kid’s Birthday Party idea. Give each kid a a canvas placemat to paint. Watch their individuality and creative expression explode!
