A break from floorcloths. This is why we moved to Vermont!

This winter has been amazing. Lots of snow and not-too-cold temperatures. The ski areas are very happy. The last few years have been kind of bleak, so this has been a welcome change.

The snow is so beautiful, I just had to share these photos of our house and surrounding property.

DSCN0533.JPG This is our pond in the back yard. Theresa and I look out the studio windows to this view every day.

This is the view looking up the road beyond the house. If you look at the Studio Tour pictures, you’ll see this view in the fall.DSCN0540.JPG

I can’t take enough pictures of our barn to do it justice. Our horses live downstairs. They’re enjoying the snow too!

DSCN0539.JPG Have you ever had the feeling you were going to be buried under all the snow? The town keeps digging us out, but I think it might be a muddy Spring when all those snowbanks melt!

The photos are beautiful. Here in Putnam County, when you had snow, we has rain and ice, and the mild weather is intent on making the longest mud season in recorded history. Nice walks in the mud on a sunny winter’s day. Enjoy!

I just wish I could be there instead of being in hot and humid Florida!!!

Used to live in VT, Burlington and Newport News. Always wanted to retire in VT but alas, here I am in Virginia. Envy you the beauty. Nothing like it. You enjoy and I’ll still dream about it.
