The studio at Canvasworks is undergoing extensive rebuilding and remodelling during the spring/summer and fall of 2012. For this reason, there will be no workshops scheduled at the studio. Floorcloth Magic
Learn how to create canvas rugs for decorative home use. Lisa Curry Mair will show you how to create beautiful art underfoot for any room in your house. For a little more than the price of a 2′ X 3′ floorcloth blank, you get the whole kit to make this beautiful Flag Floorcloth!
The kits with patterns are usually $75; but this one is just $40 for the month of May, 2012 . Kit includes a primed and hemmed 2′X3′ floorcloth, made from Canvasworks’ heavyweight, #8 canvas, a template for the star motif, layout pattern for the stripes design and complete how-to directions so you’ll get that nice aged look.
Private Consultations
You can sign up for a Private Consultation with Lisa. Bring your questions or ask ahead of time to have a session covering a certain painting technique, design queries, marketing basics, etc. You can have a 1 or 2 hour session at $75/ hr. You must sign up at least 2 weeks in advance and there will be some dates and times that will not be available. After you pay the Consultation Fee, Lisa will contact you and together we can set up a time. If you have a friend (or friends) who would like to do this with you, I will take a maximum of 4 people at a time. Each pays the $75/hr. fee.
